RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2012 ISSUE #01

RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER'S THE AFTERMATH OF SANDY PART ONE
All I can, recall is a full moon and a horrible hurricane. Perhaps, one of the worst hurricanes known to hit the east coast since hurricane Gloria and hurricane Hugo. It came at a good time I guess, "HALLOWEEN!" Let's rename it "HORROR-CANE" because that is what many people experienced. Pure, horror at the hands of mother nature. You know, mother nature can be a bitch. It isn't wise to cross her. My heart goes out to the people who suffered at Hurricane Sandy's damage. Heavy rain and storm traveling at a sixty mile wind speed coming up from Virginia to New York in a twister creating damages to the homes along The Rockaways, The Jersey Shores, Long Island, Staten Island, Brighton Beach, Coney Island and various "Zone A" communities who were subject to damages as a result of Hurricane Sandy. New Yorkers were deprived M.T.A. service for a week. Along with electricity and gas. I myself was without electricity for only one day. It only lasted a few hours for me and my family. Just think about the people who had to live a whole week with no kind of utilities. Can you imagine not having gas and electricity for a week? Due to Hurricane Sandy, it triggered a power failure. Everything from the West and East 39th Streets and below going down to the Lower East Side was in total darkness. Con Edison was working hard all of last week to help to restore the power in Manhattan. MTA buses and trains were offering free services for the week. Anyone who needed transportation bus service into Manhattan needed to catch the buses among Jay St.-Metrotech Area to board for service into the city. As for driving, no one was allowed to drive in the city unless they had 3 or more people inside their vehicle. It's one thing when you have a terrible hurricane and its destroying a lot of homes, cars and taking away a lot of precious lives that were near and dear to you. You think its all over, once the hurricane stops but its never over. Next is the aftermath, no one ever thought Sandy's aftermath would be like this. Times like these you'll hear the constant plea. Like, "C'mon mother nature what are you doing to me. I just lost the roof off of my home because of you." "Seriously, mother nature a tree landed on my lawn because of you." It's the things like these we experience during a major hurricane. We think its enough but we're wrong when we find out we have to live without utilities and limited MTA service for week. I lost a lot of things last Tuesday (October 30th) but nothing compare to the residents of New York City, Long Island and New Jersey. The only thing I lost were my scheduled Tuesday night T.V. shows due to the blackout in my neighborhood. A blackout happened in my neighborhood, last week. Just 15 minutes into NCIS LA and then the lights go out. They were down from until 9:15pm-11:53pm. The whole neighborhood, pitch black from Nostrand Avenue to Brooklyn Avenue, Farragut Rd. to Avenue D. Everywhere pitch black except the ice cream store. LOL, the ice cream store is the only place in my neighborhood with light. Can you imagine, what would happen if they were to lose all of their light. They're ice cream would turn to sour milk. Therefore, I'am grateful for what I still have. My prayers of concern still goes out to the people who lost and never recovered after the carnage of Sandy. Anyone looking to show some concern and compassion towards the victims of Hurricane Sandy. You are welcome to make donations at the following...
