RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER ISSUE # 8

MISTAKES:

Dj Handspin Dinero kicking it with you today. As you see at the top of my page you see the word mistakes, written out. The purpose of that is because I want to talk to you all about mistakes. You know everyone in
life make mistakes. Gov. Spitzer got caught w/ his pants down (literally) back in March (08) thats a mistake. Just recently, last monday a MTA bus driver was stabbed to death by a dumb NIGGER (I use the term harshly) but the next day he wuz caught, see thats a mistake but good , I hope NYC still got the death penalty so they can fry his ass or inject his ass whatever. I know thats, cruel but FUCK THAT!!! Dis bitch nigger took the life of a innocent man over a transfer, a transfer he wasn't even entitled too because the driver let him on the bus for free but this NIGGER wasn't trying to hear that. So you know what, fuck him and fuck his family, no pain and sorrow for NIGGERS! I hope you rott jail bastard.

Now I know, I'm flowing off track the point of all of this was to let people know, we all make mistakes. Take me for example, I mad
e a mistake last week on thursday, Dec. 4th when I posted my recent blog without carefully viewing it first. I just wanna apologize for the distorted texts towards the end of that Rusty Jabbz edition. I try not to make mistakes. I'm usually professional, well as professional as Dj Handspin can be. So with that being said, you have my apologies and I will see to it that it'll never happen again. I just wanted people to know that we all make mistakes even my bitch of a ex-girlfriend, who I broke up with me 2 weeks ago. Dat bitch made the BIGGEST mistake. Leaving a brutha w/ swagg like mine. Dat bitch aint gonna find no one realer and tolerant of her screwed and chopped up ass.

Before, I get into this issue, let me just end this by saying, "to the DUMB NIGGER that killed the bus driver last monday. I know you didn't think you was gonna get away with it if so then you really are a "DUMB NIGGER". My dude next time, you wanna get away with murder, "KILL A RAPPER!!!" Now those are what you would call, "COLD CASES!!!" "FEEL ME!

With all that being said, let's move on today, we are gonna do the following and talk about the
these current independent releases. First up we have The Cool Kids.

SINGLE REVIEWS:
THE COOL KIDS - "DELIVERY MAN" - GREEN LABEL SOUND

How many people out there ever wanted to be that cool kid in skool. You know the one that one person who had all the jocks, cheerleaders and regular teeny bopping high skool gurls as friends. Don't front we all were envious of the cool kids, well heres ur chance at youth again. Lets relive the high skool days as we envy Chi-town's Cool Kids soon to become Chi-town's Cool Emcees. The Cool Kids consist of duo, Chuck Inglish & Mikey Rocks who spit 1 verse apiece over a 2:45 track. A track that starts off w/ a horn percussion and then the thumping boom bap bassline kicks in providing a sort of a music trailor as an introduction to the industry. Although this is a single and a short one at that, The Cool Kids are indeed, delivery men. Delivery a prequel to whats to come. For free downloads & more info you can check out, greenlabelsound.com and to those of you who never had Cool Kids as friends in high school maybe these Cool Kids can be ur friend, hit myspace.com/thecoolkids.

SANTOGOLD WHITE, PHARRELL WILLIAMS & JULIAN CASABLANCAS
"My Drive Thru" sponsored by Converse/Cornerstone Promotions

Dj Handspin decided to switch up and talk about a song other than hip hop although I don't know what you would classify this particular song, the song has a disco/rock n roll appeal w/ a touch of a carribbean twang vocal comin' from Mrs Santogold. The name of the song is called, "My Drive Thru" but thru out the song you'll be hearing chanting, saying, "Me I wanna dance!". After hearing this record u will indeed wanna dance. What ur dancin' too is beyond me but I guarantee you'll enjoy it. We often dance to songs that we don't know anything about. All u need 2 know, IT'S GOTS TO BE FUNKY!

Smirnoff Signature Mix Series (PROMOTION)

The next time you think of Smirnoff don't think of the livation. Think of the Smirnoff Mix Series. A mixtape album which is I believe is out or scheduled to come out. Luckily, I was fortunate to get a maxi single comtaining the remakes of these classic hip hop memorabilia. The first song on this maxi single is the classic, Krs-1 12" "Criminal Minded" (the '08 version) Produced today by The World Famous and Undisputed, Dj Premier. Krs starting off the song spittin' acapella similar to the intro on, "My Philosophy" then the song starts off w/ a boom bap signature Premier beat. But no beat is complete w/o the traditional Premo cuts n scratches. Premier cuttin' up vintage Krs One vocals as adlibs for the hook. The original, Criminal Minded is still a classic and its still fire but this 2008 remake pumps up the original version legendary status. There was a quote Krs said in the original, "Criminal Minded" it went sumthin like this, "Boogie Down Productions will always get paid we take the wackest song and make it better." Well, in this case Premier took the hottest song and made it hotter. "FLAME ON!"

Track 2 is the remake of Common's, "The Light" originally produced by Jay Dilla (RIP). Some may see this as an insult to have Just Blaze come in and remake this alreaady classic jam. Peace goes out to Just Blaze for doin' a valid remake or remix which ever you prefer. I look at it more as a remake due to some of the lyrics have been changed. Common wrote some new lyrics and the beat is still along the lines of mellow following the original version. The only difference, Just Blaze may have up the tempo a few notches. Regardless of the few minor changes in the song it does keep the original concept, LOVE!

Track 3, ends this maxi single w/ the classic, A Tribe Called Quest, "Midnight" off the Midnight Merauders album. When I heard this remake done by Cool n Dre all I could say was, WOW! Cool n Dre did their thing, I never knew they had it in them to produce a beat like this. Although, not as great as Tribes original version but none the less its still a job well done. The song starts off w/ a Q-Tip sample vocal of the hook from the original, Midnight before this remake version begins. This version is a lil' more hard hittin' bass with an eerie back drop. This song sounds more East Coast than M. I. YAYO! But I still love it and I know you all will too.

LET'S GIT DIS SITE ON AND POPPIN'

Hear we are again back with the second installment of my newsletter. Yesterday, I made Rusty Jabbz Blog official. I appreciate all the people who supported me last month with the prequal issues covering the election and post election coverage that was great. But politiks aint my thang its time to get down with the real knitty gritty and thats HIP HOP. Which started out in the park. Phat shout out to all my homies I've forward my site too I'll be waiting to hear your feedbacks soon.

Let's kick things off. Before I go any further wanna send a birthday shout out to Jigga my nigga, J-A-Y (HYPHEN) Z. Who's celebrating his 39th birthday today, Dec. 4th, 2008 and let all of us bow our head in prayer as we acknowledge the fallen hip hop souljahz. Souljahz like the son of Dr Dre, Andre Young Jr who lost his life a few months back. To Camu Tao who lost his back on May 25th 2008, dealin' with complications of cancer. To M. C. Breed, who recently lost his life Nov. 22nd, 2008 as well. Let us not forget the Underground King, Pimp C who lost his life last year on this date (12/4/08). So I ask for u all to show some love and bow ur heads briefly.
(Moment of Silence)

Welcome back, yesterday we delves into the reviews of Ludacris's brand new cd (Theaters of the Mind) and Q-Tip's brand new cd (The Renaissance). Today, I'm going to review The Gza's Protools lp and T.I's Paper Trail lp and so forth.

THE GZA-GENIUS "PROTOOLS"
[5 JABBZ]
How many emcees must git dissed? Well u will if u try 2 match skillz w/ this brutha. The Genius, the name fits and sells it
it w
ell thru out his triumphant career giving stella album classix such as, "The Words of a Genius", "Liquid Swords", "Beneath the Surface", "Legend of the Liquid Sword" and now back up to the plate w/ the 5th installment, "Protools". Protools an album that keeps up w/ the tradition of that original Gza and Wu Tang sound. Gza will alwayz deliver solid lyrics at least I hope so I can't see Gza crossing over to the other side. The lp packs a punch with hard hittin' producers such as of course The Rza and others like Dreddy Kruger, Mathematics, True Master, Bronze Nazareth, Black Milk, Jose Reynoso, Arabian Knight, Rock Marcy and J. Waxx Garfield comes with the best for the best. Not only did the producers bring the heat the guest emcees Masta Killa & Rza wearing out the lead on, "Pencil". Hip hop beware be very, very aware of Justice Allah, the seed of The Gza. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The Gza held it down for the past 20 years and established a mark on hip hop but Justice Allah will carry on tradition for the next generation of hip hop like father like son. Check out, Justice Allah exchange poison darts w/ his daddy. On the following songs, "Groundbreaking" and "Cinema". The album ends with a different angle, a live performance was provided with The Gza, Dreddy Kruger and The Fyre Dept puttin' it down at The Parish in Austin, Texas. So all u fake emcees claiming to be lyricist, its gonna take y' all years before y' all gain your PROTOOLS!

T. I. - "PAPER TRAIL"
[4.75 JABBZ]
Mr ATL, T. I. P. once again deliver a solid album but this time he put some stank on it. He funked up the album with realness, rawness, positivity and sensitivity a side of
T. I. I rarely see and I hope this aint all an act. You know the typical rappers thats about to go to jail and works on a last album which usually is suddenly positive, right before their prison sentence. NEWS FLASH: GUYS THEY HAVE HIP HOP POLICE THEY ALREADY KNOW THE TYPE OF EMCEE YOU ARE! Just stop it with this phony I' m changed act, this, that and the 3rd blah, blah, blah. With all that being said let's talk about Tip's best album I ever heard and I use that term tightly cuz I aint neva bumped a T. I. album in heavy rotation since this man been in existence. But I' am proud to say and write this review in honor and tons of compliments directed at T. I. Before I heard this cd I heard the mixtape version of Paper Trail and the mixtape was fire so I knew this album was gonna be a CRACK album. T. I. opened up this album on a good note with "56 Bars", "I'm Illy" and "Ready for Whatever" those 3 songs right thur' will make u wanna hear more of the album. On the otherhand there is track# 4, "On Top of the World" w/ his longtime rival Ludacris and B.O.B. T. I and Luda once battled for the KING OF THE SOUTH CROWN but both ended up wearing it gracefully and proudly aint no one iller. Luda and T. I. insync like peanut butter n jelly. Heads already know the rest, I mean this album been out for the past 3 months. I know heads done copped it and is enjoying it but I had to review this album. I couldn't review his former arch nemesis last night and not say anything about T. I. I aint even gonna say no more but imma end it like this though, T. I. you scored a big one with this and showed superb lyricism and talent but you still won't ever reach the equivalent of lyricism like the artist, I reviewed up above you. Nonetheless, you are still, "SERIOUS", TRAPping us with your MUZIK showing the real side of the "URBAN LEGEND", "KING" "T. I. always versing his alterego T. I. P. while staying on the "PAPER TRAIL" to success. This was a great one we'll see you in the 7th round.

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME BUT I'M BACK!

Peace y' all its Dj Handspin Dinero coming to ya live w/ the Rusty Jabbz blog site. Last time I was here I had a problem w/ one of my writers who is now my ex-writer talking foul about me. So I'm going to be kicking my site old school like how it used to be, ALL HANDSPIN, ALL THE TIME!

Alot have changed since we last spoke. We have a new president, congratulations to Barack O'bama our new 44th president and first african-american president. That feels great for the african-american & minority communties. Thats what we need a strong blackman finally in power and thats what we got, nuhmean. Well since we last build, alot of dynamic hip hop albums came out for example we had artists like Q-Tip, Kanye West, Ludacris, Heltah Skeltah & T-Pain. So sit back grab a 40 & scroll thru this page as we delves into REAL HIP HOP!!!!

LUDACRIS "THEATER OF THE MIND" [4.75 JABBZ]
Before I go any further I gotta let Ludacris no how I feel FUCK YOU LUDA!!! I KNOW WHY I HATE CHRIS! Either Luda been holding out or he got struck by RAKIM a couple of times cuz this M. C. definitely MOVE THE CROWD w/ this lp from the beginning to the end w/ a few subpar songs in between but it didn't matter. The album is too dope to pick out the wack songs they get overlooked. Hardcore bangaz like, "Undisputed w/ the Money Mayweather Man, ah man I can go on forever speaking on Luda's cd. Dun, just peep it what does every real hip hop fan love from an artists RAW BEATS N DOPE RHYMEZ & u got that thanx 2 the production of hip hops top chairmen of the BOARD like Premier, yes dats right Luda on a Premo track for the first time ever and it turned out crazy hot. You think thats all, how about 9th Wonder & Luda. Don't forget the truce breaking track between hip hop rivals, TI & Luda. TI & Luda squashed the beef to make a solid track that will be deemed as memorable in the years to come. This album is the best Luda album I ever heard. Once I copped it I aint stop playin' it since. All you ladies out there that wanna buy your man sumthin' special for christmas. This is a definite stocking stuffer. Trust me ya man will love you for it.

Q-TIP THE RENAISSANCE
[4.50 JABBZ]
Hip Hop is full of surprises. Surprises like the first release of Q-Tip doing his vivrant thing to get his vivrant bling. Although, his attempt at hip pop status was not a total disturbance to hip hop fans and hip hop supporters everywhere, the Original T. I. P. from St Albans Queens actually pulled it off his 1st go round. Now 8 to 9 yrs later, Q Tip returns to the studio & the mic to bring us The Renaissance. The Renaissance of music. Real music made from the heart, the soul and the mpc 1200. Tip, brings that old school 90s jazz/hip hop and intertwind it w/ the electro neo soul vibes of today. In alot of ways this cd can be matched to Common's Electric Circus album. I, at first was hesitant to acknowledge the, Renaissance cd, wasn't sure what to expect but I ended up liking what I heard. Key songs to vibe too, "Johnny is dead", "We fight w/ Raphael Saadiq", "Manwomanboogie w/ Amanda Diva", " Dance on glass" and "Believe that w/ D'Angelo" these are sureshot glue to an eardrum bangaz. Whoever supports this album will definitely get their monies worth because w/ this album your gettin' the Tribe Called Quest, Q- Tip and not the Vivrant thing, Q-Tip.

HIP HOP TRIVIA:
01. This famous producer/emcee was originally in a group rap group called, THE WHOOLIGANZ?
(Who is it? - you can reply to this page w/ ur answers or email me the answers to
