CENTRAL PARK SUMMERSTAGE-CITY PARKS FOUNDATION PRESENTS EPMD & DJ SCRATCH, LIVE IN HERBERT VON KING PARK THURSDAY, JUNE 14, 2012
I bet ya wondering why, I attended another EPMD park concert sponsored by the City Parks Foundation. It was only a year ago, (last summer) EPMD & Dj Scratch performed in Betsey Head Park and for the neighborhood of Brownsville. Well, EPMD ARE BACK AGAIN! Back making there second Brooklyn appearance, this time in the heart of Bed Stuy's Herbert Von King Park. EPMD, showing their love to the Brooklyn crowd. E-Double, claimin' the Pink Houses was his place of birth. I always thought, EPMD repped STRONG ISL! It doesn't matter where they were born or where they rep. It doesn't even matter, where they are living now. All that matters, is that they're REAL AND PURE HIP HOP AND THEY STILL REPRESENT IT AND LIVE IT!
EPMD, don't need no stinkin' opening acts. This is, their stage. They rocked the stage for a good, 45 minutes. Some may think that's a tad short coming from the rap icons. Things indeed happen for a reason. Later, we got to experience the live dj stylings by Dj Scratch for the remainder of the evening. He put it down in the park "old school style". By the end of the evening, everyone in the park have gained their "Scratchvision". Scratchvision, the next generation to Rap City hosted and operated by the man of this evening, Dj Scratch.
