CPP MARKETING & PROMOTIONS PRESENTS CMJ 2011 ARTISTS SHOWCASE @ SIDEWALK CAFE
This is the moment, I've been waitin' for all week. I've enjoyed every, CMJ event that I was able to attend but my day of reckoning is amongst me. A, "CMJ 2011 ARTIST SHOWCASE" full of fun and treats. One big, hip hop reunion gathering with hip hop's artifacts and hip hop's new jacks.
I'm supposed to be meeting my homeboy, Sha on 2nd Ave. Sha, you know you got to come out here dunny "5 hour open bar" you can't beat that. Fam, you know if you don't show up I'm going to hold it over your head. Most definitely, because next time I don't want to hear that Dee and I never put you on to an open bar event. Today, you have full advantage towards bulldog gin, whatever the hell that is. I'm not a drinker, well at least not anymore, lol. The only thing I want free is a, free flud watch. I love them, watches they're "SUPER AWESOME!!!"
Today's event and line up is a very sick one. I would like to take this time to thank Dan Shores and CPP Marketing & Promotion along with Sidewalk Cafe for helping to establish this afternoon. I'm going to read down who is on this afternoon's roster....

As you can see right in front of you. It's quite a line up. There were others scheduled to perform that did not arrive this afternoon. I manage to capture, a viewing of the whole showcase. These were the artists I've seen perform here this afternoon....

This was not a bad line up some of the artists weren't that great. I captured images of a few emcees to showcase on my site. There were times when I took a break for the one hour open bar. You know I got to get some liquor in my system, gin n cranberry, pineapple n gin. So you know I couldn't T. P. W. D. Your probably stuck by the acronym "TAKING PICTURES WHILE DRUNK". A little intoxication gave me trouble focusing on the camera. I'm glad the open bar was only an hour, perish the thought if it really turned out to be an all day open bar. Sha, pardon though I know, I told you it was an all day open bar. Just a little trickory and confusion to persuade people to show up this afternoon. It worked though, I ain't mad I'm tipsy.
All week, we've been in the midst of rock bands, metro-sexual white people and skinny jeans. They're calling that CMJ, but it feels good to finally end a CMJ week with some HIP HOP!!! Live underground boom bap rap, This is what I missed spending a day with my b-boys and b-girls.
I haven't spent an afternoon like this in a longtime. First off, I must thank CPP Marketing for putting all of this together. I want to thank each and everyone of the artists who participated here this afternoon. Nuff respect to our Artifact' El Da Sensei and Dj Chaos for coming through this afternoon and rocking the house. Special thanks to my dude, Sha-King for coming through I know fam to you a vast majority of the emcees that performed here today were trash. You could have dipped out at anytime but you didn't I salute you for sticking around. I want to thank, Sasha the waitress.. she's been up in here on her grind all afternoon serving drinks to us. Thank you to the Sidewalk Cafe for letting us use their establishment for the afternoon. Thank you to the Sidewalk Cafe for letting me jack these six Mercy energy drinks from y' all. No thank you though for lying about the flud watch giveaways. I didn't come out here for a hip hop game show.
You also got to give it up to yours truly, "Your Favorite Writer's Favorite Writer Dj Handspin Dinero" because without me there'll be NO RUSTY JABBZ, NO WORLDWIDE JABBZ, NO RUSTY PHOTOS. I must receive a series of soul claps for putting in the work all this week for CMJ Music fest. Tomorrow is Sunday there won't be any music playing, no cmj. The only music I want to hear tomorrow are the one's in my dreams from the heavy load of sleep I plan to put in.
