RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER MARCH 2013 ISSUE #03
RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER PRESENTS...."ADMISSIONS" PRE-SCREENING AT REGAL LOEWS UNION SQUARE THEATER #08 THURSDAY, MARCH 21, 2013:
"ADMISSIONS!!!".......... "SECRET TO GET INTO PRINCETON!!! That perhaps is an actual thought that renders through the many minds of the eligible applicants looking to enroll themselves into the prestigious University, better known as Princeton. LOL, I can imagine the secret remains to be untold. If you want to know the secret, it will have to be something an aspiring student needs to figure out for themselves. Thank God, my grades were only suitable for a specific college. I attended Queensborough. You don't need any secrets on, how to get into a community college, lol. I'm about to witness in a few minutes, this evening's pre-screening of "Admissions" starring Tina Fey (Sara Palin if you want, HA, HA), Paul Rudd, Lily Tomlin, Wallace Shawn, Gloria Reuben, Michael Sheen, Nat Wolff and Travaris Spears. The film is produced and directed by Paul Weitz. Before I go any further, I would like to thank Duke Gordone Ink for this evening's complimentary ticket to this performance. I hope I will enjoy this evening's performance. Originally, I was scheduled to see this performance last week but I had a prior engagement. I'am so happy to see that they're doing another week of screenings for the "Admissions". The film is actually scheduled to be in theaters tomorrow (March 22, 2013). My key interests in the movie was simply off of the name. A name of a movie titled "Admissions" you pretty much have an idea its going to be a movie based on school and education but not solely. PRINCETON, let's talk about it. I don't know much in life but if there's one thing I do know. I know I'm not Princeton material, lol. Let's collaborate on that. What exactly is considered to be Princeton material? Let's see what I've got; good grades starting from Pre-K to the 12th grade, high test scores, good academic knowledge, good athletic abilities, different types of achievements and accomplishments from certificates to medals to ribbons to trophies. Am I getting warmer, apparently not but one would think so if they were a person applying to Princeton that achieved all that I mentioned. It's more deeper than that. What the movie is showing everyone, as if its like an documentary on "How do you get into Princeton?" Which is only one side of the story. Now on the other side of the story we have the 16 year, Princeton admission officer, Portia Nathan who have finally come beside herself in life. Everyone comes to this point in their life more than once. If not, then at least once you come across the moment where your stuck between the rock and a hard place and it takes a matter of time to figure your way out. The same thing happens with her in the movie when she receives information that she feels is vital to her. Let this be a lesson going out to my Jabbers, not all information we receive are vital be careful what we receive and who we receive them from.
Just a brief summary of what the movie entails. Everyone knows Princeton University is known for being the number one Ivy league school in America. But, all of that quickly changed in one semester. Princeton dropping number two in the ranks. The staff and the alumni are peeved. They are willing to try anything to get there "baby" back in the number one spot. A task that has been made for the 16 year, admission officer, Portia Nathan (played by Tina Fey). Portia Nathan, is a die hard admissions officer. She's been working with Princeton University for the past 16 years so her love, dedication and commitment means a lot to the facility. Or, at least it did. Until obstacles started to get in her way and distort her vision. That is one of the reason why I love this movie so much. It's sort of a love/lost scenario, lost/found scenario kind of thing going on. Yes the basis of the movie is primarily about Princeton but it also goes deeper than that. You know I don't like to say too much but what I will say, is go to the theaters and check out "Admissions" Starring Tina Fey & Paul Rudd.
The movie is targeted for students. We want you to be aware and open your eyes and minds. So you can figure out the secrets not only on how to admit yourself into Princeton. Use this movie as a gem for other educational facilities in the same process. Learn other school's secrets and figure out, what you can do to attend there?
" LEARN HOW TO BREAK YOUR FAVORITE EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES' ADMISSION SECRET!!! "
