RUSTY JABBZ NEWSLETTER MARCH 2012 ISSUE # 01

SEEKING JUSTICE STARRING Nicolas Cage, January Jones, Guy Pearce and Harold Perrineau

Tonight pre-screening of the upcoming movie, "Seeking Justice" took place at the AMC 42nd Theater. I was so eager to attend a pre-screening, its been along time since I've attended one. I believe the last one, I attended was for the movie "Priest".

Seeking Justice is about a loyal, honorable teacher of New Orleans who teaches troubled youth of New Orleans. Nicolas Cage plays the main character Will Gerard, the teacher. January Jones plays Laura Gerard (Will's wife). Harold Perrineau plays Jimmy (Will's best friend). As I mentioned, Will who is a well respected teacher in his school and person in his community. It's funny how things can just change at a mere drop of a coin. A person life can totally change. It all started with the assault and rape of his wife. The thought of that can kill any husband. So imagine your Will and your inside the hospital's emergency room and your head is spinning out of control. You just found out that your wife was raped and assaulted and have been taken to the hospital's e.r. What would you do? I don't know, what I would do but I know what Will did. Was it a wise decision? You would have to be the judge of that.

This is where the movie got interesting. Inside the emergency room that's where Will met Guy Pearce who plays Simon aka Eugene. Simon is supposed to be a leader of some sort of secret crime fighting organization. Created to rebuild the City of New Orleans, when in actuality its just a mob front. The nature of Simon and Will, coming in contact in the e. r. Simon claims he heard of Will's wife's misfortune and wanted to offer his support and assistance. Will accepted Simon's offer though with reservations. Any husband placed in a simliar situation wouldn't think twice about vengeance. Especially if someone is offering to perform the service on your behalf. However though there is always a catch 22.

Will gets a hold of this new information his new, so called friends who help eliminate his wife's rapist and abuser. Information pertaining to Alan Marsh of the New Orlean Post. Once, Will discover this information and wants out of the organization. Simon and all his croanies go out their way to try and frame him for a murder that Simon committed. This is where the movie gets juicy because throughout the movie, you'll find that Simon got the city on lock. Will is just runnin'. Runnin' from Simon, runnin' from crooked police, runnin' backstabbin' friends, runnin' from crooked neighbors and citizens. He's just runnin' until he can prove his innocence.

This is definitely a great movie. I know reading this everyone is like, dude your telling the whole movie. Yeah that may seem true, like I said its been a very long time since I been to a screening I got real hype and in the mood. I'm a big Nicolas Cage fan. I hope, I didn't spoil too much. I just really enjoyed it. In fact because I enjoyed it so much I'm thinking about seeing it again this weekend with some friends of mine. Most definitely, "Seeking Justice" in theaters Friday March 16th
