HELLO IT'S ME! that was the title debut to Timbo King's first single with Spark 950 off the 1993 Who's The Man? soundtrack. An impeccable soundtrack full of classics and hits not to mention an outstanding comedic film starring Ed Lover and Dr Dre. Timbo King, launched his career at a great moment.

However, his career did not quite take off as expected. Which is a good thing because have Timbo King proceeded on with his Uptown records opportunities. We've would have never experienced such elegant work put in over the past eighteen years. Alongside his culture cyphers known as Royal Fam and The Black Market Militia.

Nine days ago, (Aug. 20th) at the Rocksmith store I had the privilege to meet and greet, The God and endure his debut album, "From Babylon To Timbuk2" scheduled for release on Tuesday, Aug. 30th.

The album is laid out with 18 tracks and production from hip hop's best kept secrets. Your only star producer you may consider perhaps, The Rza. The Rza is among the list of production architects. We have production from a slew of producers such as Bronze Nazareth, Vinny Idol, BP, R.A. Tha Rugged Man, Dev-1, Lil' Fame and Akir. The main basis for the album's production comes from, Bronze Nazareth, BP and Dev- 1 for laying in the majority of the work.

This album give an straight up intellectual appeal. Which is something we find so intriguing in all Wu-Tang oriented acts. My personal favorites and stella tracks to look out for is the, "War Dance F/ The Rza". That song remind me of an ancient samoan dance that would be performed during battles that's something the samoan's practice. My other favorite song and track is, "High Ranking F/ R.A. Tha Rugged Man". I always been a huge R.A. Tha Rugged Man fan. He sounds good with any artist. Especially any Wu-Tang type of member.

This album was given to me as a gift and I treated it as such. I must have listen to this album five times within the last nine days. Which is a lot considering the current state of today's hip hop. When you come across an album of interests it serves it justice to give it as much rotation. If I was to sit back and analyze all 18 tracks off of the, "From Babylon To Timbuk2" album. I would have to say, the star power joints to check for are.... "War Dance F/ The Rza", "From Babylon To Timbuk2", "High Ranking F/ R.A. Tha Rugged Man", "Outside Intelligence F/ Killah Priest & Beazy", "Youth", "Brain Food F/ Vision Nons, Akir & Keesha Mishawn" and "Thinking Cap".
